Nick Cannon recovers from Kidney Operation

Nick Cannon was hospitalized with kidney failure in Aspen, Colo., earlier this week and flew home to Los Angeles for treatment. Details of his ailment were not released; however, doctors say kidney failure can result from infections, diabetes, kidney stones and simple dehydration.

Cannon, an actor and husband of singing star Mariah Carey, assured his fans via Twitter all was well following a minor kidney procedure, which did not require anesthesia.

"Just left the operating table and I was awake during the whole procedure. #OUCH," tweeted Cannon.
Carey posted a photo of the relieved couple on the Internet and thanked fans for their support.
