When you hear the word "homeless", what image forms in your mind? Do you picture the unshaven guy standing in the middle of traffic asking for a handout? Maybe you see a man or woman sleeping in a car, a truck, or on the street in a cardboard box? Picture meeting these folks while they were a part of the nation's homeless: Oscar winner Halle Berry, Avatar lead actor Sam Worthington, Emmy award nominee Drew Carey, Emmy award winner Kelsey Grammer, and Talk show host/comedian David Letterman.
There are many more folks who were homeless before they became famous and fabulous:
Jim Carrey- actor, writer, producer, comedian lived in a car with his parents, older brother and sister until they moved to an outdoor camping tent in his married sister's back yard.
William Shatner-lived in a truck or a trailer with his family and his dog after the famous Star Trek series was cancelled.
